On the 21st of November, the first lecture of this year’s MAKING ARCHITECTURE series will take place with Ries Meertens and Boris Zeisser!
Ries is a specialized business coach for architects and designers. He is helping them in the field of entrepreneurship and leadership. Ries was co-owner and founder of MMID industrial design and managing partner at Kraaijvanger Architects. In addition to being a coach, he is trainer for a.o. BNA, and teacher at both TU Delft and Rotterdam Academy of Architecture.
The topic of Ries’ lecture is ‘Change’. The world is changing constantly, as is the building industry and also architecture. As an architect you need to reconsider and redefine your position and have a clear message to the rest of the world. How can you deal with that from a business perspective?

Boris is founding partner of the office @Natrufied architecture. The topic of Boris’ lecture is ‘ready for the future; Biobased’. All our designs are inspired by Nature: embedding the program into the surrounding environment, biomimicry design approach, use of natural materials, natural shapes or more abstract representation of natural patterns, parametric structures and biotic material approach. Integrating high tech and low-tech sustainability into our designs, is a natural part of our design work.
